By John Goralski Sports Writer After three weeks, a pair of one-possession losses in week two remain the only blemishes on Lincoln College’s schedule. The Wildcats are making some noise in 2013. With victories over three conference opponents last week, the Lincoln College men’s basketball team has improved to 7-2 overall. The Wildcats are riding a five-game winnings streak and are already making a case for the postseason. Gateway tumbles Kyre Jackson owned the paint with 22 points 13 rebounds, and four steals, and five Wildcat shooters peppered long range jumpers. On Monday, Nov. 18, Lincoln College rallied to an eight-point lead at the break and held on for a 76-73 win over crossstate rival Gateway CC (2-2). Carmine Santorelli (20 points, 6 assists) rallied for five three pointers, and Andre Wright converted four shots beyond the arc to lead Gateway, but the Lions couldn’t rise above early shooting problems. Chris Austin scored 15 points and six assists for Lincoln. Jalen David added 10 points and eight rebounds. Jordan Taylor (8 rebounds), Kojo Lockhart, and Dairyon Davis scored seven points apiece in the road win.
