By Kaitlyn Naples Staff Writer A little over six months ago, Shirley Bloethe was hit with yet another devastating incident in her life. She had already lost a nephew and her father, and then on Sept. 26 she discovered the café, Pass-It-On, and book store building she had owned for 22 years was destroyed from a fire. After going through a depressed state for a few months, and spending about one month in California with her mother, Bloethe, owner of Jitters Cafe in Southington, said she realized she needs to continue moving forward with her life and her work, and decided that she is ready for whatever comes her way in the future. Until the fire last year, Jitters Café, also known as The Sunflower Bungalow, was a space that provided music, food, culture, spa treatments, and much more. Bloethe said she wanted to continue doing what she did at her store, and has decided to take her business mobile and is starting out with a Holistic Fair to be held in May. “This is kind of like a test fair to see how things go,” Bloethe said, adding that she has a goal of what she wants to do, [...]
