By Lindsay Carey Staff Writer Konner Beaudoin, 7, has developed his own desire to give back, after watching his mother engage in charitable work. “He’s been bugging me for probably six months to do something for the sick kids in the hospital,” said Kimberly Beaudoin, Mrs. Connecticut 2014. “I don’t know where he came up with it.” Konner Beaudoin’s philanthropic efforts began with two-year-old “Super Hero Ethan,” a young Connecticut boy who is battling brain cancer. The Beaudoins contacted the family and set up a fundraiser and Konner bought Ethan some toys. “But it still wasn’t enough,” said Kimberly. “He still wanted to do a toy drive for kids in the hospital.” Recently, Konner became ill himself for a short period of time. His doctor sent him to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, because he was experiencing a fever and severe headaches. “The nurses were all really friendly,” said Kimberly. “They were all great at the hospital.” While Konner was being treated a nurse came in to offer him some toys and mentioned that it was all they had left.
